How long will grooming take?

Grooming time will vary depending on your individual dog and the type of groom you have selected.

Most grooms take 1.5-2 hours to complete.

Our Stylists are always happy to give you an estimate on time needed for your dog.

If you're needing your dog back by a certain time please let us know in advance.

Can my dog stay while I go to work?

We have Day Care services available if you need to leave your dog with us for longer than their grooming time.

Full Day - 8am to 4pm

Half Day - up to 4hours

Can I stay while you groom my dog?

We prefer you don't.

Our grooming appointments are personalised to each dog, care and attention is taken to make sure your dog is happy with their Stylist.

If mum or dad stays to watch the groom the dogs attention will be on you and not on their Stylist.

Not only is mum or dad staying distracting for your dog, its also very distracting for our Stylists. We need to be able to give your dog our full attention to avoid accidents or injuries.

If you are concerned about leaving your dog, we are always happy to send photo and message updates throughout their time with us.

When should my dog be groomed?

As soon as possible!

Building a good relationship between your new puppy and groomer is essential. Setting them up for success for their routine grooming needs.

We recommend bringing your puppy in once they've had their vaccinations. This is generally around 12-16 weeks old.

Our Stylists can talk you through what your puppy will need to begin with and ongoing as they grow.

How often should my dog be groomed?

We find the sweet spot for most clients is every 6 weeks.

A routine grooming appointment ensures your dog doesn't get too over grown.

How do you keep our leather collar and leads looking fresh?

Store your leather goods in a dry place out of direct sunlight.

We recommend wiping down your leather goods with a mild leather cleaner after use and using a leather conditioner periodically to maintain.

As leather is a natural product, it will soften over time.

How to polish and spruce up tarnished tags?

Brass is known to tarnish over time. Depending on the climate you live in and your dogs active lifestyle (swimming etc) the tarnishing process will speed up.

For mild tarnish and a general polish the best way is with a polishing cloth or super fine steel wool.

For severe tarnish the easiest method to polish your tag is with tomato sauce! Let the tag soak covered in tomato sauce for 10 minutes, and then rinse off with room temperature water and dry thoroughly with a microfibre cloth. You can use super fine steel wool for any stubborns bits that remain.

The Black ink is fading?

Wear and tear is perfectly normal.

If the black stamp ink begins to fade and needs darkening up, just grab a sharpie. Scribble your sharpie deeply into the stamped area. Once you have covered all of the faded spots, immediately rub off the excess with a polishing or microfibre cloth. Repeat this process whenever neccessary.
