When did you start grooming? 2018 as a bather and 2020 as a groomer.
Why did you get into grooming?
I started bathing dogs in 2018 and fell in love with grooming!
When did you start at Clippd? 2023.
Why did you choose to work at Clippd?
I wanted to work with amazing and supportive groomers that value their staff and clients.
What do you love about working at Clippd?
I love the incredible girls I get to work with, who teach me so much and are amazing friends and support system. I wouldn't be who I am today without them.
What do you love about grooming?
I love working with dogs of course! But each and every dog is different and have different coat types, temperament and personalities which I get to build strong and special relationships with and it is so rewarding.
What are your grooming goals?
I would love to refine my skills in hand scissoring and trying out new clips that are less common in the salon. I am also wanting to learn more about the Poodle breed grooming and show trims.
What grooming achievement are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my first ever grooming competition in 2024, I was absolutely terrified and didn't think I could finish in the allotted time frame. I ended up placing 3rd and had such a fun time. I'm so glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone.
What dog/s do you own?
Theodore the Standard Poodle!
What breed of dog do you want to own and why?
I will definitely own more Poodles, but I want to own a few sassy little Chihuahuas! I love their personalities and they're so cute.
What is your favourite breed to groom and why?
I may be bias but Poodles are the best. You can do so many different styles of haircuts with poodle coats. My second favourite would be Border Collies, they have such a sweet nature and are so satisfying to deshed.
What is your favourite pet name you have heard?
Pumpkin! Its the cutest name and I even named my mums Dachshund Pumpkin. I love dogs with food names like Biscuit, Taco and Peanut.
What is your favourite grooming tool?
My curved blending scissors - I cannot groom without them.
What kind of grooming do you specialise in?
Teddy bear styles, Double coated desheds and working with anxious dogs to build their confidence and trust.
What are some of your grooming acheivements/awards?
2024:
The Pet Show, 3rd place in Salon Styling.
Ausgroom, 2nd place in Salon Styling.
Big Day Out for Dogs, 3rd place Salon Styling.
