Senior Dog's

At Clippd we love pampering your dog at all stages of their life. When it comes to senior dogs and dogs with underlying health issues we have some extra steps in place for their safety and the safety of our team.

Dog grooming can be a stressful experience for senior dogs; factors such as hearing loss, loss of sight, stiff joints and medical conditions can put strain on the dog’s body.

All dogs will receive a physical examination before your stylist commences grooming. For your dogs comfort we may only be able to complete a portion of the groom or we may not be able to complete the groom to our usual standard.

You may be asked to wait in your car for the duration of the groom.

Senior dogs:

Small breeds over 10 years are considered senior at Clippd.

Medium and large breeds over 8 years are considered senior at Clippd.

In the event of an emergency:

All of our stylists are first aid trained.

Your stylist will provide first aid where necessary.

In the unlikely event that your dog collapses our team will perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Clippd Puppy Information

Congratulations on your new puppy!

At Clippd we aim to provide a calm and enjoyable experience for your dog. We are always happy to answer any questions you may have about your dogs grooming needs.

We recommend puppies have their first visit with us as soon as they're vaccinated. This is generally around 12-16 weeks of age.
As your puppy is likely to need grooming for the duration of their life it is important that they become accustom to our stylists and the grooming process.

Puppies that aren’t introduced early on can often have anxiety and fear of coming to the grooming salon.

We recommend the first visit or two are just to come have a bath and a play. This helps to ease the puppies into grooming and avoids them becoming overwhelmed. Additionally your stylist may recommend your pup comes in for some playtime sessions to help them adjust to the noises and smells of the salon.

We have designed a puppy intro package the help set your puppy up for success in the grooming salon, ask your stylist how to book!*
